Big Tech Departures - Sharing Circle
Many of us are questioning our relationship with Big Tech.
How ethical are the data practices of companies like Google? What kind of leadership culture sits behind Meta’s products, such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook? What role does Microsoft play in providing tech infrastructure to military institutions?
Learning some of these answers may reveal conflicts between your values and the tools you use every day.
Some have already left certain platforms. Others are in the messy middle. Some are just beginning to sense that something no longer feels right.
This sharing circle is a supportive space to come together, reflect, and not feel alone in the process.
Leaving big tech is not about purity or perfection. It is about exploring how we want to relate to technology in a way that aligns with our values, our nervous systems, and the kind of world we want to nourish.
In this circle, we will:
• Share honestly about where we are on our journey
• Explore the tensions, grief, freedom, and practical challenges of stepping away
• Exchange tools, resources, and small experiments that help
• Support one another without pressure or judgement
The session will be hosted on Zoho Meetings.
You are welcome wherever you're on the path. You don't need to have left anything yet. You don't need to have answers.
If you're feeling the pull to loosen Big Tech’s grip on your life, or simply to become more conscious about it, you're warmly invited.
This session will not be recorded. Another small step away from FOMO (fear of missing out) in a world overflowing with events and content.
