YAAD Summer Taster Membership

By purchasing a YAAD Summer Membership, you agree to the following:

 Your membership gives you priority booking access to all YAAD summer circuit events between June and September 2026. All events are free to attend - your membership is your access pass, not a ticket to individual events. Please note that each event requires a separate registration due to capacity - once you're a member you'll receive access to member's only events for which you can register.

YAAD is a 25+ space. Only purchase a membership or tickets if you are over 25. No refunds will be given for lack of adherence to this policy.

 All membership purchases are non-refundable. Please make sure the membership is right for you before completing your purchase - we're happy to answer any questions at 

 Our summer programme is confirmed and growing. Some events are fully locked in; others are subject to final venue and facilitator confirmation. We'll always give members as much notice as possible of any changes, and where an event changes significantly, we'll do our best to find an alternative.

 YAAD events may be photographed and filmed for community and promotional use. By attending, you consent to being captured in event photography and video content. If you have specific concerns, please let us know on the door and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

 Your membership runs from the date of purchase to 20 September 2026 (subject to change).

 We'll use your details to contact you about YAAD events and updates. We won't share your information with third parties without your permission.

'Yaad' is a term of endearment for 'home' in Jamaican Patois and is used to describe one's house, roots and comfort.

Our speaker for this session is Chloe So, co-founder and CEO of 

 - the startup pioneering paper electronics to create more sustainable RFID technology, as recently showcased at SXSW London. A Forbes 30 Under 30 lister and graduate of Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art, Chloe has led her team to secure VC funding, grants and international awards.

She'll be talking about her entrepreneurial journey, the reality of prototyping and iterating, and what sustainable material innovation actually looks like in practice - from idea to product to global stage.

A talk, Q&A and mixer exploring new materials, sustainable alternatives and the future of making things by hand and by machine. Open to all disciplines.
