🎬 About the Film
In the wake of personal loss, an unexpected sisterhood unites an ambitious New York healthcare worker with a spirited girl from a nomadic tribe in India.
Where the Light Enters You is a poignant exploration of grief and the profound impact of losing a parent. Through the parallel journeys of two female protagonists, the film examines the systemic barriers that hinder girls’ education and women’s health. Impact Partners:
The Giving Exchange partners with under-resourced communities to implement self-sustaining projects for a lasting impact. We dream of a world where children have every opportunity to build their best future; where all needs for education, health and livelihood are met by locally-grown resources; and where communities are implementing the solutions they need to make life better for themselves and for generations to come.
JiVA Mental Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit initiative transforming how South Asian communities understand, access, and experience mental health care. Born from a deep recognition of the stigma, shame, and generational trauma many carry, JiVA was created to meet our community where we are, with compassion, culture, and clarity.
South Asian Network (SAN) is a 35-year old grassroots, community-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the health, well-being, and civil rights of South Asians living in Southern California.
