Sustainable and Affordable Mobility for All: Putting the Heart Back Into Technology

Date/Time: Monday, September 22, 2025; 1-2 p.m.

What if the future of mobility served everyone – not just the privileged few? In this thought-provoking session, Dr. Christopher Borroni-Bird will challenge assumptions about where automotive innovation is headed, and show how technologies like electrification, autonomy, and connectivity can be reimagined for global good.

A former chief engineer and strategist at Waymo, GM, Qualcomm, and Chrysler, Borroni-Bird now leads Afreecar, a consulting and development firm focused on future mobility solutions with global impact. His work spans technical due diligence for emerging technologies to deploying mobile power kits for underserved communities.
