Postcards Movie Screening
We’re screening Coup 53 to revisit the 1953 overthrow of Iran’s democratically elected Prime Minister, Mohammad Mossadegh, in a covert operation backed by the CIA and MI6.
With ongoing developments around Iran and the wider Middle East, revisiting this history helps us better understand the roots of many of today’s geopolitical tensions and the long shadow of foreign intervention in the region.
The screening will take place at a private residence, so the seating will be mixed - a blend of sofas, chairs, and carpet seating. So we’ll all adjust and make sure everyone is comfortable throughout the screening.
Please bring snacks to share - popcorn, chips, cookies, anything you love.
Please note:
The venue is on the third floor and is not wheelchair accessible.
We have limited seats and a strict cap on registrations. So please sign up only if you're sure you can attend. Spots fill up quickly, and we want to ensure every seat goes to someone who’ll be there.
