AI in Education Meetup
AI is already in the classroom — and the hallway, the homework, the staff room, and the after-school program.
This is the first convening of a Special Interest Group (SIG) that has organically emerged within the BC + AI Ecosystem Industry Association—a grassroots network of educators, technologists, artists, and community builders shaping a uniquely BC approach to AI.
Hosted by Ethọ́s Lab & BC + AI Ecosystem
Big thanks to everyone who raised their hands in the Dot.EDU WhatsApp group. The energy was clear: we need a space to come together around AI in education.
This first Dot.EDU Meet Up is an informal-but-intentional circle for those of us working in the many learning spaces—classrooms, after-school programs, libraries, workshops, and EdTech. It’s a chance to swap stories, tools, and practices while reflecting on how AI is showing up in our contexts.
Think of it less like a conference and more like a community kitchen: bring what you’ve got, share it, taste what others are cooking up.
Together, we’ll:
- Exchange practical ideas and tools for integrating AI into learning.
- Reflect on the opportunities and tensions unique to both formal and informal education.
- Support one another as we navigate this shifting AI landscape.
- Explore possibilities for collaboration and co-creation going forward.

**Space is limited. Register soon, and feel free to bring a snack to share.
Looking forward to learning and unlearning together,
