Corporate Power for Clean Power: Shaping Supply-Side Policy through Corporate Advocacy
Asia plays a central role as a hub for production, and international corporations have a need to reduce scope 3 emissions from products sourced in the region. Corporate demand for renewable energy in Asia has risen rapidly to meet these asks, but many companies are facing challenges in securing enough supply to match their demand. Regulations and market structures incompatible with rapid variable energy expansion are causing renewable energy supply to fall behind what is needed to meet decarbonization goals. Through this session we will explore how corporate demand can advocate for policies that accelerate the deployment of renewable energy.
