How Banks & NBFCs Evaluate Technology Partners

What makes a fintech product interesting is not always what makes it enterprise-ready for BFSI.

As banks and NBFCs become more selective, founders and GTM leaders need to understand how technology is actually evaluated inside regulated financial institutions.

Join us for a practical conversation on how buyers in BFSI think about technology partnerships, adoption risk, compliance, and long-term fit.

This session features Sunil Sawarkar, a Technology Leader at a leading MNC bank, with over 22+ years of experience across banking technology, digital transformation, regulatory management, enterprise systems, cloud, AI, ML, and large-scale IT infrastructure. He brings a practical perspective on how financial institutions evaluate technology partners, manage adoption risk, and align technology decisions with long-term business and regulatory priorities.

For founders and GTM leaders in fintech, BFSI tech, and bank tech, this session will offer a grounded view of what financial institutions really look for in technology partners beyond product capability and pitch narratives.

What we’ll cover

  • How technology priorities across banks and NBFCs have evolved over the last 5 to 7 years

  • What differentiates a fintech product from a true BFSI technology partner

  • Where fintech teams often underestimate deployment complexity inside financial institutions

  • Key considerations in evaluating digital lending, payment infrastructure, and compliance technology

  • How regulation and risk management shape technology decisions

  • The gap between how fintechs build and how banks or NBFCs adopt

  • What helps companies move from pilot deployments to meaningful enterprise partnerships

The conversation will include a moderated discussion followed by a live Q&A with the audience.
