Huni Kuin - Songs and Stories from the Amazon Rainforest

​On Sunday, Sept 28, we're honoured to welcome Siriani Txana Huni Kuin, a distinguished young indigenous leader from Aldeia Segredo do Artesão, a Huni Kuin village in the heart of the Amazon rainforest in Acre, Brazil.

​​She is a wisdom keeper and the granddaughter of the first female spiritual leader of her indigenous land. Carrying forth her powerful female lineage of ancient healing practices, Siriani will share the ancestral wisdom of the forest as well as her incredible music with us.

Siri is not only a remarkable artist but also a strong voice for women empowerment within the indigenous villages. She and her partner Gabi Moreira will share more about the work they do with their NGO Aībaibu Kayawai - Mulheres que Curam.
