Oxford Founders in Conversation: Startups, AI & Building Things That Matter
Bob Goodson (Yelp, Quid, Future Positive) and Husayn Kassai (Onfido, Ollo, AI Hub) are two Oxford founders who went on to build influential AI and technology companies used around the world. Both are now active investors and advisors to emerging technology startups.
In this live conversation, they will interview each other about the entrepreneurial journey — from university ideas and early experiments through scaling companies, navigating uncertainty, building teams, fundraising, and adapting during periods of rapid technological change.
The target audience for this event is primarily founders. However, senior executives, academics, or members of the press are welcome to apply to join this session.
Alongside practical startup lessons, the discussion will also explore the importance of sustaining clarity, judgment, creativity, and personal resilience over the long arc of company building — and how founders can maintain perspective and cognitive quality while operating in high-intensity environments.
Expect honest stories, practical advice, and lessons for founders and aspiring entrepreneurs interested in AI, startups, investing, and creating meaningful companies in an era of accelerating change.
Audience Q&A to follow.
