​Description
Writing En Plein Air is an experimental generative writing session led by Alex Wolfe. This online gathering explores how landscape can spark and support creative work without needing to step into the cold. Each week we will travel virtually through one slow moving scene from somewhere in the world, guiding us along city streets, train rides, road trips, and other wandering paths. These scenes help spark new ideas for meditative passages, quiet digressions, and stream of consciousness vignettes.

All forms of writing and all levels are welcome.

​Session Structure
• We settle in and introduce the writing prompts
• We watch the landscapes together and write
• We close with an optional group share

This session is open to anyone who wants to sharpen their awareness, build accountability, discover approaches for sustainable writing, and connect through a shared practice.

​Materials
Writing by hand is encouraged. Please come prepared with paper and pens.

About the Instructor
Alex Wolfe is a writer and artist based in Brooklyn. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, and he has led walks for Princeton University, the Swiss Institute, the Municipal Art Society of New York, Parsons School of Design, and Salomon, among others.
