Speaker Bios
Kiana van Waes is the Trust Programs Lead at Remitly, where she drives Responsible AI Governance, AI Transformation, ESG regulatory strategy, and Global Impact across a global fintech platform serving customers in more than 170 countries. With over a decade of experience spanning sustainability, global impact, marketing, and compliance, she has led transformative programs at Remitly, Convoy, Brooks Running, and K2 Sports. Kiana brings a unique perspective on how organizations can responsibly scale innovation at the intersection of AI, sustainability, and global regulation.
Tenika Versey Walker is a distinguished marketing leader with over 15 years of expertise in AI and technology marketing. She is the Global Head of Sustainable Futures for the NVIDIA Inception program, where she spearheads marketing initiatives in collaboration with AI-accelerated startups while nurturing connections with experts within the NVIDIA community. Tenika is also a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University in the Department of Geophysics within the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. She served on the Board of Directors at the Seattle Aquarium, on the Advisory Board for Black Women in Venture Capital, and on the Industry Advisory Board for Duke University's Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity program. She earned her MBA from Brown University and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington.
Malia Bachesta Eley is a Senior Manager at Salesforce , where she builds and leads philanthropic programs designed to help communities and organizations harness the transformative potential of AI for good. With over a decade of experience in the impact space, Malia’s career is rooted in nonprofit leadership and strategic communications. Over her career, she has built impactful programs for more than a dozen early-stage nonprofits, private foundations, and corporate philanthropy initiatives.Today, she is on a mission to bridge the digital divide in the social sector, ensuring that nonprofits, regardless of size, have the vital access, resources, and technical skills required to leverage AI effectively.
Kari Hayden Pendoley is the founder of Impact Savvy, a strategy firm operating at the high-stakes intersection of enterprise technology, AI governance, and global social impact. As a Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), Kari bridges the gap between rapid technical innovation and the structural oversight required for modern corporate governance. She acts as a trusted advisor to technology firms and private equity leaders, helping companies prioritize ethical alignment, human agency, and long-term ecosystem resilience. With over 25 years of executive experience, Kari has engineered sustainable corporate strategies for Fortune 5 companies, high-growth SaaS leaders, and international organizations. Currently serving as the Lead Independent Board Director for Timecounts, she also dedicates her time to public education initiatives, including serving on the Artificial Intelligence Task Force for San Rafael City Schools to ensure equitable, responsible AI use in education.
