September 23: The most important AI and legal-tech event of the autumn.
Seating capacity: we only have 300 seats available, so sign up soon! They are going fast.
Our speakers:
Lauren Nardoni (Aach) – "As lawyers delegate work to AI, what human responsibilities must they retain to preserve public trust?"
Jennie Morawetz – "AI will argue anything for anyone. A good lawyer won't."
Michelle Bufano – "AI is changing how business owners approach legal questions. But legal judgment is about more than answering the question that was asked."
Ash Kalb – "For an AI native startup, going fast and acquiring customers at the expense of technical debt is usually the right call. Law firms and individual attorneys face a similar tradeoff Ash has started calling "ethical debt" as they incorporate agentic tools and workflows into their practices. As clients demand more efficiency and agent enabled competition becomes more fierce, the pressure to ignore ethical concerns increases."
Erika Kaneko – "Three's Company, Done Right - Working with Your Lawyer in the Age of AI"
What to expect?
A rapid-fire panel where each expert delivers a focused 7-minute lightning talk, followed by question-and-answers with the audience.
Also, refreshments:

About our speakers:
Lauren Nardoni is a trusted C-suite executive and board advisor, recognized for her thought leadership and innovation. As Chief Legal Officer at CB Insights, a leading provider of predictive market intelligence, she leads the company's legal, AI governance, compliance and enterprise risk functions. She works with cross functional leaders to build practical guardrails that allow the company to innovate and commercialize AI responsibly without losing sight of the business context and human judgment that technology cannot replicate. Prior to CB Insights, she spent a decade at a public conversational AI company called LivePerson, where she led the global commercial legal team and helped the company's growth and digital transformation. Her earlier experience includes in-house legal roles at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She has been named a top 30 innovative U.S. General Counsel and frequently speaks about transforming legal teams and the evolving role of in-house counsel.
Jennie Morawetz is a corporate attorney and startup executive with a track record of building market-leading practices and products at the intersection of legal risk and innovation. After clerking for two federal judges, Jennie spent a decade at Kirkland & Ellis, where she helped build and lead a 20+ person global sustainability practice group ranked Band 1 in Chambers ESG. In 2025, Jennie joined SCOREalytics, Inc. as a founding executive. As Chief Strategy Officer & General Counsel, she guides cross-functional global teams building a platform that transforms legal, regulatory, and policy signals into forward-looking intelligence executives and boards can use to shape strategy, allocate capital, and manage risk. Jennie has a unique perspective on AI risks, opportunities, and governance: she is building an AI-enabled product from the ground up and she has designed guardrails around AI use within a law firm practice group and in-house. She speaks not as an observer, but as an executive who has navigated AI’s promise and limits from both sides of the table and who is actively building technology tools to help boards and leadership teams stay on top of global legal and regulatory change. Outside of work, Jennie engages deeply in community initiatives in her adopted hometown of Anchorage, Alaska, and would love to help you plan your next Alaska vacation.
Michelle Bufano is an attorney, business strategist, and entrepreneur who works at the intersection of law, business, and emerging technology. She is the Founder and CEO of Michelle Bufano Business Consulting LLC and Managing Attorney of The Law Offices of Michelle M. Bufano LLC, a boutique law firm focused on serving small businesses and entrepreneurs. With nearly 30 years of legal and business experience, Michelle helps business owners turn complex legal and operational issues into practical, actionable strategies that protect their businesses while allowing them to grow. Increasingly, that work includes helping businesses navigate AI, not as a theoretical future issue, but as a tool that owners, employees, vendors, and clients are already using every day. Michelle advises businesses on AI governance, contracts, confidentiality, risk management, and responsible AI use, while also incorporating AI into her own practice. She is actively exploring new ways to give clients the benefits of AI, including greater efficiency, accessibility, and cost savings, while still providing the judgment, context, and strategic thinking that come from an experienced lawyer. Her perspective is grounded in what she sees happening with real businesses: AI can make people faster and more informed, but it cannot replace the ability to recognize the question that has not yet been asked or the fact that changes the analysis. Michelle is particularly passionate about empowering entrepreneurs to understand the legal and business issues affecting them so they can make smarter decisions with clarity and confidence.
Ash Kalb is a former Skadden, Arps attorney, multi-exit unicorn founder, and outside board member to several rapidly scaling companies. As Co-Founder and President of Fulcra.ai he's building a secure, unified, user-owned context backend for AI agents and their humans. Before that he co-founded HUMAN (formerly White Ops, acquired by Goldman Sachs), the industry defining cybersecurity company that defends the internet from automated bot fraud at scale, and several other technology companies with multiple exits. He has also spent a over a decade in the boardrooms of both security / intelligence startups and heavily regulated companies, including ten years at Gemini, from early formation through intensive regulatory scrutiny to its 2025 public listing, helping their founders navigate the many challenges of rapid scaling.
Erika Kaneko is an attorney and strategic advisor who helps cofounders break up without taking the company down with them, guiding teams through the equity, governance, and negotiation issues of a cofounder exit with a collaborative approach, not a combative one. As Founder and Principal Attorney at Kaneko Law, she advises business leaders and entrepreneurs through high-stakes cofounder splits alongside a broader corporate practice spanning financings, M&A, and general startup counsel. With nearly two decades of experience - first as a leadership consultant, and then over a decade as a corporate attorney - Erika has learned that most problems can be fixed, and her job is to help teams figure out how they're going to do it together. Prior to launching Kaneko Law, Erika guided numerous high-growth clients through IPOs, cross-border transactions, investigations, and compliance matters as an attorney at Cooley and Weil Gotshal. Whether it’s a cofounder departure, a financing or M&A deal, or an AI-drafted contract leaving a client more exposed than they realized, Erika helps clients manage risk as they grow and scale.
