Workshop: Building the Plane While Flying It in Student Union
Building the Plane While Flying It
How to Start, Grow, and Survive a Business Before You Feel Ready
Starting a business rarely comes with a perfect plan — and that’s okay.
In this hands-on workshop, Gordi Mikalacki, Founder of ELMM Law Group, will share her real-world journey of starting before she felt ready and how growth emerged along the way. Drawing from her experience as a business owner, she’ll explore how building dependable processes, scaling thoughtfully to prevent burnout, and hiring the right people at the right time helped her navigate uncertainty and grow sustainably. Participants will also learn how to make informed decisions when consensus isn’t always possible.
Hosted by GCC Achieve, this workshop is part of the Small Business Entrepreneurship Series — a collection of interactive sessions designed to inspire, connect, and equip aspiring entrepreneurs with practical tools they can use right away.
Arrive early! Complimentary food will be available starting at 12:45 PM.
Please note: Attendees who complete the post-event survey will receive a certificate of participation.
