Meet the Artist | Luke Heng & Pulp Editions
Join us for an intimate evening visit to artist Luke Heng’s studio in the industrial enclave of Tagore Industrial Avenue, where we will meet the artist and gain insight into his working process, materials, and current practice. Luke’s work is rooted in painting, but often pushes beyond its conventional limits, exploring surface, perception, memory, and the structural possibilities of the medium.
Sharing the studio with Luke is Pulp Editions, an independent printmaking studio led by Chen Shitong, whom we will meet for a conversation about the studio’s collaborative approach to printmaking. Pulp Editions works with artists to develop fine art prints and multiples, offering a glimpse into the technical, tactile and highly process-driven world of printmaking.
Together, the evening offers a rare behind-the-scenes encounter with two neighbouring artistic practices.

About the Artist:
LUKE HENG (b. 1987, Singapore) employs painting as a structural framework to examine the delicate, often-illusory supports of perception, by giving attention to the nuances of memory and the void Utilizing images that are in circulation within the cultural archives, this process provides a form of resistance, anchoring the fleeting and immaterial in paint. Heng obtained his MA in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts in Partnership with Goldsmiths, University of London in 2020, where he received a scholarship. Since then, he has been actively engaged in artistic practice, showcasing locally and internationally. Selected solo exhibitions include Yeo Workshop, Singapore (2026), A+ Works of Art, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2025 and 2019); Yavuz Gallery at S.E.A. Focus, Singapore (2020); Pearl Lam Galleries, Singapore (2017); Galerie Isabelle Gounod, Paris (2016); FOST Gallery, Singapore (2015).
