✨ Amigas In Tech is teaming up with the Latinx Therapist Project ✨
As we step into May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re continuing our work as part of the Poderistas Partner Network by leaning into conversations around mental health, cultura, and what that actually looks like for our community.
For this one, we’re partnering with the Latinx Therapist Project, an organization on a mission to advance mental health equity by building, supporting, and sustaining a strong and representative Latino mental health workforce in Colorado. Founded in September 2021, they are the only nonprofit in the country focused on increasing Spanish-speaking clinicians through workforce development programming, and they’re doing really important work in this space.
We’re coming together to talk about the state of Latino mental health in the U.S. and why now more than ever it’s important for us to take care of ourselves and each other. We’ll be joined by Bridget Sanchez, Founder and Executive Director of the Latinx Therapist Project, alongside therapists from their network.
Because the truth is, for many of us, mental health was never a conversation we grew up having. And with so much happening around us that impacts how we feel and show up day to day, there’s a lot that goes unspoken. Not having the tools, or even the language, to talk about it can make it hard to navigate, let alone take ownership of it.
Through this event, we’ll get into our cultura, our mental health, our Latinidad, and share practical tools around what support can actually look like and where to get help.
We’ll leave time at the end for Q&A with Bridget and her team. No matter where you are in your mental health journey, just know Amigas In Tech is always a space for you. This is a virtual event, open to all of our amigas, no matter where you’re based. We’d really love to have you join us.

What to Expect:
An open conversation with Bridget and the LTP team: We’ll get into the state of Latino mental health in the U.S., what’s coming up for our community right now, and why this isn’t something we can keep pushing to the side.
Real talk around cultura and mental health: For many of us, this wasn’t something we grew up talking about. We’ll get into some of the gaps, stigmas, and barriers that make it hard to even start these conversations, especially within our families.
Practical tools and support: We’ll talk through what support can actually look like, where to get help, and how to start navigating this in a way that feels accessible and real.
Audience Q&A: We’ll open it up at the end so you can ask questions or share what’s been on your mind.
Virtual + open to all: Join from wherever you are.
