Celebrate the arrival of summer by joining Dutch-Portuguese artist Anne Lopes for an intimate afternoon of oil painting and creative exploration.
Anne will teach her method for making oil painting approachable and rewarding from the very first stroke, guiding you to see light, colour, and form in a way you haven’t before, and translate it into a painting that feels truly alive.
This workshop starts at the foundation: learning to see beyond symbols, and instead notice shapes, edges, light, and colour. With Anne’s warm and accessible guidance, you’ll build your painting step by step in a way that feels clear, creative, and free from overwhelm.
Over the course of 4 hours, you’ll be welcomed into a relaxing and supportive environment, with unlimited tea and coffee throughout the afternoon. The workshop is beginner-friendly, but rooted in techniques you can return to and build on throughout your entire painting journey.
By the end, you’ll leave with a finished botanical oil painting to hang, gift, or treasure, along with a new creative way of seeing, and the joy that comes from surprising yourself with what you’re capable of creating.
This session is beginner-friendly, offering a relaxing and supportive environment to learn the fundamentals of oil painting. Over the course of 4 hours, you will explore the language of colour, texture, and motion while enjoying unlimited tea and filtered coffee.

Primed canvas
Aprons
Artist-grade oil paints
Paint brushes
Linseed oil medium
Mixing palettes
No harmful mineral spirits are used.

Oil paint is a rich, slow-drying medium that requires a little extra post-workshop care.
Disclaimer: Oil paintings can take up to 2 weeks to fully dry. Anne will help you prepare your work for transport, but please plan your journey accordingly:
Best: Walking or traveling by car.
Possible: Public transport (if handled carefully).
Not Recommended: Biking is not advised, as the wet surface is easily damaged.
🔁 Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than one week before the event are eligible for either:
A credit toward another Pink Poodle Society event for the full ticket amount, or
A refund minus the 6% platform and ticketing fees (non-refundable)
Cancellations made within one week of the event are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
