Curated Encounters: Clarke Quay - Session 1
This tour is led by artist and curator Daniel Chong. Discover the evolving landscape of Asian art through two distinct galleries in the Clarke Quay precinct. Starting at Confluence Art Space, a special solo exhibition of works by Singapore master Chua Ek Kay, The Quiet Revolutionary. The exhibition features both his iconic ink paintings and a selection of rarely exhibited works. Through a sharing by the gallery owner, audiences will gain personal insights into Chua Ek Kay's artistic practice. Continuing along the river to Art ImA, where the group exhibition Beyond the Horizon: Hope presents contemporary works by mid-career South Korean artists and local emerging artists exploring themes of optimism. Hear directly from two participating artists, Ye Min Khant and Sparkle Sun and learn directly about the ideas behind their works. *This programme involves light walking, with short outdoor stretches between gallery venues.
