Machine Cinema GenTalks w/ Matty Shimura & Paula Vivas
Hey everyone,
This Wednesday 10-1115am PT / 1-215pm ET is our weekly digital get together to connect on how we are all making our way through this new era for creative industries and AI among other emergent technologies, sharing ideas, tips, knowledge amongst ourselves.
Our group is an amazing mix of creators/producers/builders/some new to this stuff/ some OG/ all of us constantly learning.
You can join however you want - camera on, camera off. It's ok if you just want to listen, but it's more fun if you participate.
This week we'll be joined by:
Matty Shimura -
After founding the Project Odyssey Competition, Matty Shimura has joined ElevenLabs where he is launching the Chroma Awards - an "Olympics" of AI Film, Music Videos and Games.
This initiative's mission is to bridge the gap between emerging technology and creative talent, so that both sides can build each other up, not tear each other down.
He’ll be joining us to talk about the Chroma Awards just launched this month, his vision and his hopes for the event!
Paula Vivas -
She is Head of U.S. Marketing at Freepik, where she leads the company’s expansion, brand strategy and PR efforts in the U.S. market. With a background in global marketing and a focus on AI and creativity, she builds programs that connect technology with creative communities, driving awareness, partnerships, and enterprise adoption.
She is as passionate as anyone we know about this thing we call community and we’ll hear her unique take on this as both a community builder and doing it from the inside of a global tech company.
We’ll also be taking a new stab at the weekly format and discuss some news items and the recent “Pick of the Week” film.
And lastly we are testing out a new platform with Riverside so please bear with any technical glitches.
