They will need to use 450 Gigawatts of electricity - more electricity than would power hundreds of thousands of homes. And people already report dust, late night disruptions and heavy construction noise.
โSpartanburg residents werenโt told the impacts before it was approved. Now, they are being denied a voice even as the data center looks to transform their city permanently. And they donโt even know the true impacts it will have.
