About Event

Join CityHive and PNW Climate Week in an "Amazing Race" themed event! Get the chance to be part of a climate-forward race, complete missions and win prizes! While also learning about how the municipal government in your city is responsible for climate action. 🌱

Youth are invited to participate in a scavenger hunt, taking part in activities that help protect our environment (e.g. locating and removing invasive plants, park clean ups) and activities that support getting-out-the-vote (e.g. messaging a friend to register as a voter). This is a team-based and neighbourhood-scale event, with prizes available for all participants!

What happens at city hall matters more for the climate than most people realize… CityHive hopes to be that bridge that highlights how the youth priority of sustainability can be addressed in the upcoming BC municipal elections.

No experience is needed - just curiosity, some competitive energy, and comfortable shoes.

Please note that event date/time is subject to change. More details are to come.

About the Organizers

CityHive is a Metro Vancouver based not-for-profit organization on a mission to transform the way that young people are involved in shaping their cities. We work to ensure young people have the agency and opportunity to participate in city planning, local decision-making, and sustainability issues. We work with city-shaping institutions and municipalities to create meaningful youth engagement practices, and simultaneously work with young people to build capacity and provide opportunities to address urban challenges.
