Future of Banking & Digital Assets Roundtable
The Future of Banking & Digital Assets Roundtable, organised by the MiCA Crypto Alliance in cooperation with BlackVogel and NORM, and hosted by TheMerode, is an exclusive, closed-door session bringing together senior banking professionals, central bank representatives, regulators, and industry experts to discuss the future of digital assets in European finance.
About the Roundtable
This roundtable will focus on how European banks are preparing for the integration of digital assets under the MiCA, DORA, and CSRD regulatory frameworks. The discussion will address:
Compliance readiness and CASP licensing strategies
Challenges in aligning banking licences with new digital-asset requirements
White paper obligations and board-level liability considerations
Risk management: token listing criteria, sanctions circumvention risks, and due diligence processes
Integration of ESG and sustainability reporting into digital-asset activities
Opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and regulatory alignment
The session will be informed by findings from our Future of Banking & Digital Assets Survey, which is currently collecting insights from banks across Europe. A summary of key findings will be shared with participants ahead of the event to support a focused and productive discussion.
