Hyderabad Config Watch Party 2026
Config is Figma's annual global design conference, the most watched event in the design world.
Hyderabad doesn't just watch it. We build a full day around it.
Hyderabad Config Watch Party 2026 is a community-led, in-person experience by Friends of Figma Hyderabad. On June 28th, 300 designers, product managers, engineers, founders, and makers spend a full day together, not as an audience, but as active participants in the conversations that define our field right now.
The day is built around four themes: Systems. Shifts. Stories. Spaces. the four forces shaping design in 2026.
The day, from start to finish:
You arrive. Your first act is not sitting, it is writing. The Signal Wall is already up. Three prompts wait for you. What system in your work quietly frustrates the best designers? What skill on your resume will be invisible by 2030? What career decision have you never told anyone you made? Before a single speaker takes the stage, 300 people have contributed to the day's content.
Then three community opening keynotes:
The Designer's Inheritance — Harsh Vardhan on what design carries forward through every technology shift
Design in the Age of Abundance — Mayank Sahu on what happens when tools stop being the constraint
Hyderabad Is Not Just Watching, It's Acting — Prashant Pandey on what the design ecosystem is building next, and why this room is its evidence
Then the sessions that go deep:
Beyond Craft: Becoming a Strategic Design Leader — The real path from IC to leadership
The Synthetic Colleague — A live panel with a designer, PM, and founder on what AI actually changes in how teams work
The Resume of 2030 — An interactive session with live scenarios on which design skills survive
The Economics of a Design Career — A fireside with live data on money, positioning, and career leverage
Designing Possible Futures — A 75-minute 4-sprint workshop where you make something
Learning in the Age of Intelligence — How AI is reshaping careers, creativity, and human potential. A direct look at what learning itself looks like when intelligence is no longer scarce, grounded in real, lived examples rather than predictions.
Leading the Creative Economy with Creative Products — Strategies for design at every level. How design creates value across organisational, educational, and entrepreneurial contexts, and how creative products become drivers of economic and social impact. Grounded in real case studies of design-led ventures, programmes, and initiatives.
And ending with The Design Pledge — you write one design principle you're committing to. Live QR wall. Compiled into a community zine.
The DEXA framework:
Every session, every room, every moment is engineered across four dimensions: Design Energy, Experience, and Audience. This is not a conference you attend. It is a day you move through.
Who this is for:
Product designers. UX practitioners. Design engineers. Product managers. Founders. Researchers. Students who are serious. Anyone who sits at the intersection of design, product, and technology, and who wants to spend a day with 300 others who feel the same.
This is a curated event. Applications are reviewed. We are looking for people who have thought about why they want to be in this room, not for résumé credentials.
