Sculpted Ingredients: a communal potluck
Join us at Bang Brewing for an evening celebrating locally grown, in-season produce and the creativity of community-made food. This gathering is a collaboration between nom supper club, MADROSA, and Gifting Grove. We invite you to select a seasonal ingredient as the basis for a vegetarian dish to share with others.
We encourage you to use these vegetables as inspiration for your preparation, and to invite in any other summer produce and herbs you have on hand — from your own garden, a neighbor’s garden, your summer CSA, or your local farmers market. Make something playful, beautiful, simple, elaborate, or somewhere in between. Just keep it vegetarian so the meal can be shared more openly by everyone.
In the spirit of elevating the everyday, we also ask you to give a little extra attention to your food scraps. As you prepare your dish, consider the husks, stems, trimmings, skins, and shells left behind. We invite you to reimagine this so-called “waste” as a small sculpture. Whether that be stacked, twisted, combined, or arranged into something unexpected. Use adhesive or additional materials if you’d like, or keep it entirely as-is. Give your sculpture a title, and bring it along to be placed in our gallery of edible remnants.

Please bring:
