From Practice to Evidence: What’s Working in LGBTIQ+ Programming
About the session
Across diverse contexts, organizations delivering services to LGBTIQ+ communities are developing innovative, resilient, and often under-recognized approaches to care and support.
This session brings together practitioners for an experience-led dialogue focused on what is working in practice. The conversation will highlight examples of effective programming, including how organizations are integrating strengths-based approaches, affirmation, and joy into service delivery. It will also explore how these practices are evolving across contexts, what enables them to succeed, and how they can be strengthened and adapted over time.
Beyond sharing insights, the session aims to foster collaboration and contribute to building a shared evidence base to articulate how LGBTIQ+ outcomes connect to and advance broader social and development goals.
What to expect
This will be a facilitated, practitioner-led dialogue rather than a formal panel. The session will create space for shared reflection and exchange, where participants can surface insights from different contexts and collectively examine what it takes to deliver high-quality, resilient LGBTIQ+ programming in complex environments.
