Join Tech Makers for a special edition of our monthly Tech Drinks + Pitching for Amsterdam Cleans Day!

🕒 Time: 4:00–6:00 PM cleanup • 6:00–8:00 PM drinks & pitching
📍 Meeting point: Tech Makers office, Oudschans 85, Waterlooplein neighborhood.

Amsterdam is one of the most vibrant cities in the world, but let’s be honest, it can also get a little messy. Trash piles up, bins overflow, and bulky waste appears days too early. Amsterdam Cleans Day is our chance to change that together.
On September 19, over 30,000 Amsterdammers will hit the streets for the city’s largest-ever cleanup. We’ll join from our home base in Waterlooplein, spending the afternoon picking up trash, meeting new people, and contributing to something bigger.
Join us when you can that afternoon, we'll keep you in the loop as we move through the neighborhood!
After the cleanup, we’ll gather at an extra special location closeby for our classic Tech Makers mix of drinks, pitching, and good vibes at the end of each month.
👉 What to bring:
Closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
Gloves or other cleanup gear (we can’t guarantee litter pickers for all, so RSVP before September 10 if you’d like a chance at one)
About Amsterdam Cleans Day
This city-wide action began with a single LinkedIn post about Amsterdam’s waste problem, reaching over 510,000 people and sparking a movement.
Local leaders like Victor Knaap (Monks), Charlie MacGregor (The Social Hub), Daan van Apeldoorn (B Lab), Brigitte Vonck (Serve the City Amsterdam), and Cora Kreikamp (BIZ The Knowledge Mile) have joined forces with thousands of volunteers to make a difference.
Tech Makers is proud to contribute to the neighborhood we call home and clean up the beloved bricks and pavement of Amsterdam.
