Homeward Capital: A Buen Vivir Convening on Diaspora, Dignity, and Investment
Buen Vivir Capital Institute is glad to convene members of the Latin American and Caribbean diaspora, international development leaders, donors, impact investors and values-aligned practitioners to reimagine how capital flows across borders and communities.
Together, we will explore how to build community and influence towards funding social impact leaders across Latin America and the Caribbean-particularly Afro-descendant, indigenous, women and working class leaders--those who are disproportionately impacted by shrinking international funding and often overlooked by mainstream philanthropy and impact investing.
We will discuss how to mobilize integrated capital — grants, investments, and innovative finance — in ways that honor dignity, lived experience, and right relationship-with a particular emphasis on diversifying and democratizing impact investing, philanthropy and international development.
