About Event

Join us for an evening that celebrates sustainable food and community. We’ll kick off with a 30-minute talk from several of our food partners, including Compassion in World Farming and Mercy for Animals, sharing insights on how plant-based cuisine is reshaping culture, climate, and creativity in the culinary world. From sourcing to storytelling, learn how filmmakers, chefs, and food innovators are reimagining what’s possible on the plate—and beyond.

After the talk, stay for a one-hour happy hour designed for filmmakers, partners, and friends of the festival. Enjoy delicious plant-based bites—including snacks from our friends at Rebel Cheese—drinks, and conversation while connecting with peers across film, climate, and creative industries. It’s a chance to unwind, taste what the future of food looks like, and spark collaborations.

  • Jennifer Behr, Director of Plant-Based Initiatives, Mercy for Animals

  • Jamie Berger, Writer, producer, The Smell of Money (2023)
