About Event

Join us for an exclusive, on-site field tour of the West County Wastewater District treatment facility during SF Climate Week, showcasing how next-generation water infrastructure is being implemented at scale.

This curated visit will provide a firsthand look at three major initiatives that position the District at the forefront of climate resilience and water innovation:

  • A newly completed green levee designed to protect critical infrastructure from rising sea levels while enhancing ecological performance

  • The “Clean and Green” project, now nearing completion, which will enable the plant to achieve ~93% greenhouse gas reductions and operate at net-zero energy

  • An exploration of PolyGone Systems‘ first-of-its-kind technology for capturing and recovering microplastics from treated effluent

Event Format:
The session will begin with a short presentation introducing the facility and its innovation roadmap, followed by a guided, on-site tour focused on each of the featured projects. The event will conclude with a casual lunch and networking session with peers across the water, climate, and infrastructure sectors.
