From Munich to the Valley: Founding an AI Startup in Silicon Valley 🌉
Join us for an evening with Anna Julia Storch, a CDTM alumna and is now building Dryft in the Silicon Valley. 🚀 She'll share what it's really like to build an AI startup in the Valley: the highs, the hard lessons, and what's different about founding a company there versus in Germany. Dryft raised a $5M round led by General Catalyst to build artificial intelligence that mimics, optimizes, and automates complex human decisions in manufacturing operations. Also, Anna-Julia actually met her Dryft co-founder Leonie Freisinger right here at CDTM.
Anna-Julia will talk through her startup journey with Dryft and unpack what's happening in the Valley right now that's especially relevant for students thinking about building something of their own. 💡 There will be real stories, practical insights, and an actual view of the ecosystem from someone living it.
Join us later for some drinks and refreshments and meet CDTM students.
Who it's for: Open to the CDTM community and also the wider student community in Munich: all students curious about startups, AI, or the Silicon Valley playbook are welcome. This is a great opportunity to get to know current CDTM students and get a taste of the community if you are thinking of applying!
