​Welcome to our first PUGS NLB LearnX community 2026 Meetup! :)

​We would like to invite beginning and experienced Pythonistas to a new series of from foundation to frontier hands-on learn Python programming sessions. The hybrid sessions will be conducted with a modern twist progressively harnessing AI platforms and tools.

​Foundation

• ​Introduction (Why Python and how to get started)

• ​Data types

• ​Variables

• ​Operators

• ​Conditional statements

• ​Loops

• ​Strings: common built-in methods and manipulation

• ​Data structures: lists, tuples, sets, dictionaries

• ​Functions

• ​Iterators and generator functions

• ​Lambda functions

• ​Miscellaneous: comprehensions, etc.

• ​Problem sets to hone your skills

​Note: The above is subject to change depending on the attendees' profiles and interaction. We may/will not cover everything in a single session and can extend the learning to future sessions.  

​There will be 3-5 minute lightning talks highlighting the diverse applications of Python (you are welcome to be part of this impromptu). We will also be sharing updates on PyConSG26 and ways for participants to get involved.

​Attendees are encouraged to bring your own devices (BYOD) and join the sessions!
