Who We Are- Biome Venture Studio
Biome is a full-stack Venture Studio. We act as institutional co-founders, investing our capital and resources to help build your business alongside you. We typically work with only ~3 startups each year, going deep and executing across product development, go-to-market, sales, finance, governance, and fundraising.
What is a Venture Studio?
Like venture capital funds, we invest capital into the startup. But unlike venture capital funds, incubators, or accelerators, a Venture Studio executes alongside the founders across core functions of the business from the very beginning.
The goal of this model is to help founders focus on what matters most while the studio takes on the bandwidth of other critical functions.
Biome is led by experienced leaders and investors with multi-decade careers across venture capital & innovation ecosystems.
Srinivas Kollipara, Managing Partner
Srinivas is the founder of T-Hub, the world’s largest innovation campus. He brings deep expertise in building institutions, scaling early-stage teams, and shaping innovation ecosystems, having played a pivotal role in developing the Telangana startup landscape.
Madhu Poomalil, Managing Partner
Madhu is the former CFO of UBS India and later Country Head/MD for D. E. Shaw India. He brings decades of experience across capital markets, governance, and risk, with a track record of leading and scaling large institutional operations.
Zaran Bhagwagar , VP
Zaran has spent the last decade in venture capital investing across Southeast Asia and India. He has built, scaled, and exited companies & worked with 50+ early-stage teams as a Principal at Anthill Ventures.
Kaustubh Patekar, Head of Product
Kaustubh has spent the last two decades in building, scaling, and advising technology products across the US and India. He spent time in US shaping enterprise SaaS products at companies like Oracle & MicroStrategy. He currently runs ProdZen, where he has helped 100+ startups build products from idea to scale through structured product building and GTM frameworks.
