Private Capital and Innovation Forum: Exploring How Private Capital Can Support Innovation to Save People and the Planet

​We invite you to join a focused gathering of family offices, private capital leaders, philanthropists and innovators to explore how private capital can drive meaningful innovation — whether through philanthropy, venture philanthropy, venture.

​Held at the Mathematical Institute during Oxford Tech Week, the session will begin with a discussion on the different ways private capital can support innovation. This will be followed by eight TED‑style talks from scientists presenting their latest research: four focused on saving or improving the health of the planet, and four focused on saving or improving the health of people.

  This opening panel will explore the differences and overlaps between traditional philanthropy, venture philanthropy and venture investing.

  Session 2: Science to Save, Prolong and Improve the Planet
  A set of TED‑style talks highlighting research tackling climate change, biodiversity loss and planetary health.

• ​4.15pm - 5.00pm
  Session 3: Science to Save, Prolong and Improve Lives
  A set of TED‑style talks showcasing cutting-edge research focused on improving human health.
