About Event

Learn how African-American artisans have incorporated Indigenous African symbols, aesthetic forms, and religious meaning into their quilts over centuries of displacement.

Together, we will hand-sew a quilt square inspired by the trickster spider god, Anansi. To build on your technical skill, we will also discuss and practice sewing together our quilt top, batting, and backing.
