About Event
Pope Leo XIV dropped Magnifica Humanitas — his 42,000-word essay arguing that AI should serve humanity, not concentrate power in the hands of a few. We all said we wanted to read it, but life kept getting in the way.
So we're going to read it together. Out loud. At Local Economy – the perfect place to talk about keeping things small, human, and real.
Join us on Sunday, August 9 for a collaborative, mic-passed reading of the encyclical the Vatican wrote for the AI age.
We're taking submissions for themed drinks — Poperol Spritz anyone? There will be good company — a fun, curious crowd of people who actually want to think about keeping humans at the center of the technology we build.
Come for the pope, stay for the spritz.
