The Forum is a platform for the exchange of practical experience, knowledge, and ideas related to the preservation and development of immovable cultural heritage. It fosters dialogue among institutions, civil society organizations, businesses, and communities, and creates opportunities for building partnerships among various stakeholders.
Participants & Main Topics
Bulgarian and international experts will present successful models and innovative solutions from Bulgaria and across Europe. Among the international delegates are experts from Europa Nostra – the leading European federation for cultural heritage, the University of Bologna, EUROM – the European Observatory on Memories, ATRIUM – Association and European Cultural Route, and EuroClio – the European Association of History Educators.
The fourth edition of the Forum focuses on digitalization not only as a method of documentation, but also as a tool for actively engaging audiences. A highlight of the program is the premiere presentation of the digital twin of the Buzludzha Monument.
The Forum is held on the occasion of the World Heritage Day (18 April), established by UNESCO. The event will present the results of the international project “Developing an Inclusive Process for Communicating Contested Heritage,” funded under the European Union’s “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” (CERV) programme.
