About Event

A private roundtable bringing together a select group of LPs, capital partners, and founders to unpack how capital is behaving in the US, and what’s changing in how it’s accessed, allocated, and recycled.

This session is designed for those actively navigating US capital and expansion.

We’re hosting a curated session with a San Francisco-based secondaries investor, with experience across family office allocation, venture-backed companies, and cross-border capital markets. His work sits at the intersection of venture, secondaries, and private capital allocation.

The session will focus on how capital is behaving in the US today, from the perspective of those actively deploying and allocating.

We’ll explore:

  • What’s actually different about accessing capital in the US vs Europe (beyond the obvious)

  • What founders consistently get wrong when approaching US capital

  • How secondaries are reshaping liquidity, pricing, and fund dynamics

Following the roundtable, the conversation will continue over al fresco drinks.

Guest speaker:

Chris Shen, Neuco Academy

Chris is an investor, entrepreneur and lawyer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a co-founder and managing partner of Neuco Academy, a secondaries fund that focuses on acquiring venture capital fund (LP) stakes. He is also a co-founder and venture partner of Quinova Partners, which focuses on late stage/pre-IPO direct investments.

Previously, Chris co-founded Revere, a fintech company focused on venture capital fund data and ratings, which was acquired by another startup. Before that, Chris co-founded a Hong Kong-based single family office, where he oversaw external fund investments and was a member of the investment committee.

Chris began his career as a corporate finance and M&A lawyer at Baker McKenzie. Based in Asia from 2006-2019, Chris is a SFC Type 1, 4, and 9 licensed responsible officer in Hong Kong, admitted to practice law in the State of Texas and speaks fluent Mandarin.
