About the panelists:

Dr Gaetano Dimita is a Reader in Interactive Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary, University of London, where he focuses his research and teaching on Games and Interactive Entertainment Law. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Interactive Entertainment Law Review, Edward Elgar, the producer of the More Than Just a Game conference series; the co-author of Mastering the Game 2nd edition, WIPO, and a video games enthusiast.

Dr. Pieter GJ Koornhof is the Chief Operating Officer of 24 Bit Games, a video game development studio specialising in the porting and optimisation of video games. He holds a variety of degrees and professional accreditations in the field of law, economics and education. Most recently, he completed his doctorate on the regulatory framework for internet monopolies in competition law. He is a practicing attorney of the High Court of South Africa, having qualified in 2009. Pieter has taught at both South African and UK universities on undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA level. He has lectured and published in the fields of competition law, intellectual property law, ICT law, labour law and video games.

Rafael Ferraz Vazquez graduated in law from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil, and holds a Master in Intellectual Property and Information Society from the University of Alicante, Spain.  He worked as a lawyer in Brazil where he advised on intellectual property issues to local and international companies.  Rafael also collaborated with several international organizations such as the EUIPO. Since 2013 he works at the Copyright Law Division of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) where he participates in global policy discussions including on copyright and artificial intelligence.
