IS AI DANGEROUS? Understanding The Risks and Responsibilities

​Concerned about our future with AI but not sure what's going on or where to even begin? Join us for the first gathering of PauseAI Viroqua, where you can gather with concerned others, share food and conversation, advance your knowledge, and take some easy action steps. Once we've settled and eaten, Simon Besonen (a founding member of PauseAI Viroqua) will give a short presentation on current issues and concerns with AI development. Victor Lee Lewis will add a comment about ongoing or proposed AI-related projects in the Driftless Region. Finally, there will be time for thoughts and questions, and practical action steps you can take right away (this will take no more than 2 minutes of your time). We will end the formal program by 5:30, leaving time for informal connection and conversation till 6pm.

​Please bring an appetizer, entree, or dessert for the potluck, if you can. Tea, soup, and finger foods will be provided. Pre-registration is requested so we can estimate food needs.
