Theatre Materials: GRAND GIVEAWAY
Final Strike Collaborative is GIVING AWAY all of our rescued theatre materials! Are you an educator or theatre maker, looking to stock up for your fall shows, or bolster your props inventory? Are you an artist or creator looking for raw materials to work with? Are you a community member who gets excited about owning a legacy piece of Theatre History? Do you want to meet more creatives in the NYC community?
Join us on July 19th and 20th, where we will be opening up our storage to anyone interested and willing to cart it away!
✨Attendees are welcome to bring their own cars for larger items, but the event location is easily accessible via the 6 train for those seeking smaller theatre materials.
✨Each day, 11a-12p will serve as early bird access exclusively for educators! From 12p-3p we will be open to all! We are offering everything for FREE (although, a donation of $15 would go a long way to help us pay for the event itself)!
✨We have small hand props, furniture pieces, raw materials like plywood and trim, as well as larger theatrical items like soft good drops, plexi-coated walls, and decking.
Come enjoy an afternoon with the local theatre community, get exclusive access to accessories made from upcycled Broadway materials at a discounted rate, explore a new area of the city, enjoy local food, and leave with theatre materials for your upcoming project!
Location: Port Morris, Bronx. RSVP for the specific address! We are about a 30 minute train ride on the 6 train from Manhattan, but if you need guidance or support getting to us, please get in contact!
