About Event

Work isn't disappearing. It's being redistributed. Organizations that thrive will design intentionally for what humans and machines each do best. Join me and my guest, Cameron Hedrick, for a conversation on designing organizations where humans and machines strengthen one another, and why the capabilities AI can't replicate are becoming your greatest strategic advantage.

About the event

The AI revolution isn't coming for your job—it's coming for how you think about leadership, capability, and organizational design.

As AI handles more routine work, something unexpected is happening. Recent MIT research reveals that between 2016 and 2024, American work shifted toward more human-intensive tasks requiring empathy, ethical judgment, creativity, and vision. Occupations strong in these capabilities are seeing employment growth.

Join me and Cameron Hedrick, former CLO at Citibank and author of "From Prompt to Polymath," for a conversation about what this means for leaders designing the future of work.

We'll explore

  • The new terrain of human advantage - AI fails at key challenges: making decisions with limited data, navigating conflict, and building relationships. These limitations clarify where human capability becomes irreplaceable: learning, adapting, and creating value as conditions shift.

  • The accountability imperative - Machines optimize; humans are accountable. How do leaders establish frameworks that keep humans accountable while leveraging AI's power?

  • Designing for complementarity - The future isn't humans versus machines. It's designing systems where each amplifies what the other does best.

  • The meaning question - Machines calculate faster, but they don't search for meaning or rise from failure. How do leaders create conditions where this happens at scale?

You'll leave with

  • Clarity on which human capabilities become more critical as AI advances

  • A framework for AI integration as stages, each requiring different design choices

  • Practical approaches to cultivating contextual mastery

  • A systems-leadership lens that balances possibility with human meaning
