About Event

The SFCW Flagship Energy Summit, sponsored by PG&E, returns in 2026 to convene the leaders building the next generation of energy infrastructure.

This half-day summit brings together utilities, policymakers, investors, and technology leaders to explore the biggest challenges facing the energy system today, from rising electricity demand and grid modernization to resilience and electrification.

Programming will be followed by networking with sustainable wine, hors d’oeuvres, and excellent conversation.

SFCW Energy Summit Programming

Panel: Home Electrification and Affordability
As California rapidly electrifies homes and transportation, a critical question is emerging: how do we power everything without overwhelming the grid or driving up costs for customers? This panel will explore how technologies such as grid-aware devices, advanced meters, and intelligent energy management systems can help coordinate electricity use, enabling widespread electrification while maintaining reliability and avoiding costly infrastructure upgrades.

Fireside Chat with PG&E

Panel: Energy Resilience and Microgrids
As climate impacts intensify and outages become more common, energy resilience is becoming a top priority for utilities, cities, and critical infrastructure. This panel will explore how microgrids and distributed energy systems are strengthening energy security and enabling communities, campuses, and critical facilities to maintain reliable power during disruptions.

Panel: Grid Modernization and Grid-Enhancing Technologies (GETs)
As renewable generation, electrified buildings, and EVs increase demand on the grid, utilities are looking for ways to unlock more capacity from existing infrastructure. This panel will explore how grid-enhancing technologies and advanced monitoring tools are helping operators optimize the grid, accelerate clean energy integration, and build a more flexible and reliable power system.

Programming will conclude with networking and a happy hour.
