Join Friends of Prefab for a self-guided tour of 10 prefab homes in Altadena — meet the residents who love living in them and the builders behind their design.
For residents from both the Eaton Fire and Palisades burn areas looking for rebuilding inspiration and guidance, this is your chance to put yourself in the shoes of a prefab homeowner.
Beyond the opportunity to discuss build timeline, cost, and specific details with the builders themselves, homeowners will also have the opportunity to chat with local architects at the Eaton Fire Collaboratory to answer general questions about what "prefabricated construction" really is. Volunteers will also be able to point homeowners toward options that may match their rebuilding journey.
This event has been organized via a collaboration between Friends of Prefab, LA Forum, and cityLAB-UCLA.
