

Volunteer with Wooded Island (Volunteering Untapped Chicago)
50 volunteers will work on remulching the paths along Wooded Island and other park maintenance projects.
Date: Saturday, June 13, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Location: Wooded Island (1686 E Hayes Dr Parking). Go to the parking lot located at the address and look for VU leadership wearing blue shirts.
Special Instructions: wear sunscreen and outdoor appropriate gear.
Afterparty: Kasey’s Tavern (701 S Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60605). BYOF.

Parking: Garden of the Phoenix Parking (1686 E Hayes Dr Parking).
Closest Transit: Bus #63 (Stony Island). If taking the train, you can take the Red Line to 63rd and then the bus #63 to 63rd & Wentworth.
