Big Screen Hack London: Kick-off
Five days to make an AI film, and a real shot at getting it commissioned. Free to enter.
Monday 5 October, London. We'll share the venue with registered guests before the night.
Monday night is where it starts. We reveal the brief, you find a team or bring your own, and our partners show you the tools you can use for the week. Then you have five days to make one of these:
an AI short film
an AI-enabled pilot
an advert, on our new advertising track (good for the portfolio)
Submissions close Sunday 11 October.
This edition is about distribution: how your work actually gets bought and seen by millions of people. The winning film will be commissioned into a multi-part series for Fairground TV, so it goes from the IMAX screen to television. The best work premieres on the Science Museum IMAX on Friday 16 October, in front of buyers, distributors, commissioners and press, followed by The Odyssey. Premiere tickets: luma.com/jdlqvhdx
We'll announce the full list of partners and prizes early next week. Remote teams are welcome.
We started with 24 hours at the BFI in October 2025. Since then we've run 48 hours in London that ended at Cinéum in Cannes, and a New York cohort at Tribeca. This is round 4, and the first time you get a full week.
