ID (Industrial Design) Lounge bringt Menschen zusammen, die physische Produkte entwickeln und realisieren.
Industrial Designer, Produktentwickler, Engineers, CAD- und DFM-Spezialist:innen, Prototyper, Maker, Hardware-Founder, Hersteller, Zulieferer und Studierende – wenn du daran beteiligt bist, aus Ideen echte Produkte zu machen, bist du hier richtig.
ID Lounge ist keine klassische Networking-Veranstaltung und keine Konferenz. Es geht um einen entspannten, praktischen Abend, um Menschen außerhalb der eigenen beruflichen Bubble kennenzulernen, Erfahrungen auszutauschen und über den echten Entwicklungsprozess hinter physischen Produkten zu sprechen.
Zum Auftakt bringe ich selbst ein Produkt mit, das ich von den ersten Ideen und Prototypen bis zum heutigen Produktionsstand begleitet und mitentwickelt habe.
Dabei geht es weniger um das fertige Design als um den Weg dorthin: Iterationen, Fehlversuche, überraschende Probleme, Entscheidungen mit dem Hersteller und Details, die selbst am aktuellen Sample noch verbessert werden müssen.
Ein scheinbar einfaches Produkt – mit einer deutlich weniger einfachen Entwicklungsgeschichte.
Danach öffnet sich der Abend für den Austausch.
Wenn du möchtest, bring gerne selbst etwas mit, an dem du gerade arbeitest: einen Prototypen, ein Produkt, einen Mechanismus, ein Materialsample, ein Fehlteil oder eine aktuelle Entwicklungsfrage.
Kein Pitch und keine formelle Präsentation erforderlich. Nur wenn du Lust hast, etwas zu zeigen und darüber zu sprechen.
Danach heißt es einfach: Drinks bestellen, Leute kennenlernen, Produkte herumreichen und über Design, Engineering, Prototyping und Manufacturing sprechen.

ID (Industrial Design) Lounge brings together people who develop and make physical products real.
Industrial designers, product developers, engineers, CAD and DFM specialists, prototypers, makers, hardware founders, manufacturers, suppliers and students – if you're involved in turning ideas into real products, you're in the right place.
ID Lounge isn't meant to be another formal networking event or conference. It's a relaxed, practical evening for meeting people outside your usual professional bubble, exchanging experiences and talking about the real development process behind physical products.
To kick off the evening, I'll bring a product that I've worked on from the first ideas and prototypes all the way to its current production stage.
Rather than focusing on the finished design, I'll share some of the journey behind it: iterations, failed attempts, unexpected problems, manufacturing decisions, and details that still need improvement even in the current sample.
A seemingly simple product – with a much less simple development story.
After that, the evening opens up for everyone.
If you'd like, bring something you're currently working on yourself: a prototype, product, mechanism, material sample, failed part or a current development challenge.
No pitch or formal presentation required. Only if you feel like showing something and talking about it.
Then it's simply time to grab a drink, meet people, pass products around the table and talk about design, engineering, prototyping and manufacturing.
