From Policy to Practice: Making Green Shipping Corridors Happen
The Green Shipping Corridor (GSC) brings governments, ports, shipping companies, and fuel suppliers together to advance zero- and near-zero-emission shipping. Across different regions, GSC initiatives have generated new partnerships, feasibility studies, policy developments and efforts to prepare vessels, fuels and infrastructure for deployment. These developments offer valuable lessons, but important challenges remain in translating collective ambition into implementation. South Korea’s recently enacted Special Act on Green Shipping Corridors provides one example of efforts to strengthen the enabling conditions for corridor development.
This session brings together perspectives from ports, shipping companies and civil society to reflect on progress across GSC initiatives, discuss what is still needed, and explore how international and cross-sector cooperation can help move corridors forward.

Discuss the implications of South Korea's Green Shipping Corridors Special Act for corridor development.
Share progress and lessons from green shipping corridor initiatives, including policy developments, industry action and international partnerships.
