Books in Other Forms #2: Form and Imposition

​Have you got an idea for a book but don’t know how to make it real? We want to make your dreams come true. This workshop looks at how an idea becomes a physical object. We’ll introduce book sizes, layout, alongside experimenting with paper stocks and formats. You’ll start to make decisions about structure and sequence, and begin to see your project take shape as a publication.

​Our Host:

Em—Dash is a South East London based studio + press, experimenting with the book-form, and playfully publishing work that spans across art-practice, design, research, and visual culture. Beyond books, they have worked across mediums of curation, film and radio. Workshops encourage the sharing of ideas, skills and facilitating collective making. Em—Dash is operated by artists and designers Aarushi Matiyani + Saundra Liemantoro.
