About Event

In this session, you'll learn the simple power of Maximal Marginal Relevance (MMR) search.

We'll also be joined by Neo4j, who will be talking about context engineering and how to combine vectors and graphs for search workflows.

🗓️ Agenda

5:00 PM – Doors Open & Networking
5:30 PM – Qdrant
5:50 PM – Neo4j
6:10 PM – Community Presentations
7:00 PM – Networking

MMR ranks results not just by how close they are to your query, but by how distinct they are from each other. This technique helps with eliminating repetition and surfacing both top hits and hidden gems.

You’ll get hands-on guidance on adjusting the diversity on your search for best results.

We will also go over how many candidates to fetch (fetch_k) versus how many to return (k) for optimal conversion.

By the end of the session, you'll be confident in tuning vector search to deliver relevance and discoverability that keeps users clicking—and coming back.
