About Event

Unlocking climate action through behavioural communication.

An interactive workshop on storytelling, nudges, and interventions that drive behaviour change.

Date: 27th February 2026 | Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Target Audience: Climate communicators, sustainability professionals, NGO teams, corporate CSR managers, policymakers, students, activists, and anyone designing climate campaigns or interventions.

Venue: Habitat India, Qutab Institutional Area, Saket, New Delhi

  1. Overview:

Climate communication has reached a critical impasse. We've never had more data, visuals, or urgent messaging about the climate crisis. Yet awareness continues to outpace action. People know about climate change, understand its severity, and express concern, but this knowledge rarely translates into sustained behavioural change.

The gap between knowing and doing isn't an information problem; it's a behavioural design problem.

Hosted by Arth Communications, a social impact and behaviour change communication agency, this 2-hour interactive workshop teaches participants how to design climate communication and interventions using proven behavioural science principles, moving beyond awareness to create actual, measurable behaviour change. Through live experiments, real-world case studies, and hands-on application, participants learn how psychology, storytelling, and smart design can unlock climate action.

2. Key Modules (The 3 Pillars)

Pillar 1: Live Behavioural Experiments: "Will It Nudge?" Watch 8 live experiments demonstrating proven psychological nudges: default settings, social proof, loss framing, simplification, visual cues, commitment devices, feedback loops, and messenger effects. Participants guess outcomes, learn the science behind each nudge, and see real-world climate applications from Delhi and beyond.

Pillar 2: Climate Message Makeover Challenge Analyze real climate campaigns that failed to change behaviour. In small groups, redesign them using behavioural principles learned in Pillar 1. Practice matching nudges to behaviors, identifying psychological barriers, and creating interventions that work.

Pillar 3: Framework Application & Toolkit Apply learnings to pressing Delhi climate challenges (air quality, waste, water, energy). Learn to use the behavioural decision framework and receive a comprehensive digital resource guide with templates, case studies, and implementation tools.

Unlike traditional climate communication workshops that focus on messaging strategy, this session teaches how human behaviour actually changes. Facilitated by Arth Communications, a social impact communication agency specializing in behavioural change design—participants learn from practitioners who design these interventions daily, not theorists.
